Lost locals
Chchchchanges
Writing for a site such as London-RIP.com you become incredibly sensitive to the disappearance of some of the landmarks of one's life
Cosy Caffs
Cheap and cheerful, a warming, cosy term describing so much that we bought yet one that seems to be largely confined to the past in London.
London restaurants 3
London R.I.P readers send in their tales of lost eateries and ketchup-crusted squeezy tomatoes
London restaurants 1
Restaurants, bars and cafes we loved that are no longer with us.
Obscure suburban pubs
There's not much London RIP likes better than an obscure suburban pub.
College Farm
Milk is something we take for granted. It’s the silent partner in the perfect cup of tea, the froth in the cappuccino and the creation of the ideal scrambled egg.
Poons past
As a long-time devotee of China Town one of my favourite restaurants was Poon's in Lisle Street. What made this restaurant noteworthy was that it was the last remaining Chinese café, a vestige of a more rough and ready approach to Chinese cuisine.
